Boots!

My sister got married last weekend!
I had so much fun, we danced the night away!

We decided to ditch our heels and dance in our boots!

I do wish that we could hang out more often... but she moved to the city, and I am still in the country.
And that's ok too...

Canisters, with labels!!

Pinterest project!

And this one wasn't a fail ;)

This canister set came from Walmart and was $15.00 I believe!!
The labels I ordered online and were around $9.

I had the jars for almost a year before I put the labels.

See, you can buy your projects as you have the extra spending money!

I have found that most projects end up in my budget, if I watch, save and wait for the deals!

My Camera

My camera!
I LOVE it!!!
It's a Canon Rebel T3.
Worth every penny to me!

And.... because of my craziness in pinching pennies... I got it on sale!
But from the Canon website. It was a refurbished one, but came with a 1 year warrenty.

So I saved $200, and still got it from the company it was made, packaged like new and with the warranty.

Sometimes, you can pinch pennies and find a great deal so that you can still have that item you want so badly!!!

Mine has been going for 2 years strong now... Love love it!!

ps. I made the camera strap cover and LOVE it as well!!! Now it won't get mixed with the other camera's at family functions!

Organizing

I am pretty sure I saw this idea on Pinterest!
But I knew I had to do it!!!

I believe they were $6 each at Hobby Lobby.
Much cuter than a drawer full of ponytail holders, or having them scattered all over the bathroom counter!

And they look cute sitting out (I think)!

So don't always think that all the Pinterest projects are out of your budget...
Watch for sales, even if you have to buy the supplies little bits at a time!
Another Pinterest project coming tomorrow ;)

Accessorize

I never wanted to be that stay at home mom who threw on sweats and a tshirt everyday.

I shower each morning, do my hair and make-up - always have!
I was given a book when I first started staying home and wish that I could remember the title...
but I will always remember a chapter that I read, saying to remember to dress nice for you AND your husband. It even said in the book to freshen up your make up before your husband get's home.

When we were doing our 5 sessions with the preacher before we got married he mentioned taking care of ourselves and working on ourselves even after we got married. You want your spouse to keep wanting you and finding you attractive!

If I don't feel pretty... there is no way my husband is going to, simply because of my attitude.

Something even as simple as putting on your cute watch and simple earrings can make you feel put together!

I wanted this watch for a long time... and finally one day spent the $12 and bought it!
So glad I did!

So don't forget your earrings and simple jewelry, even when you are home cleaning house!

Feel pretty!

When I first started staying home, it was over-whelming! I felt like I spent 99% of my time picking up and it didn't matter.
And to think, I only had 2 kiddos then!

I will never forget talking to my mom about it one day, and she suggested that I pick a room. Pick 1 room that I want to keep clean. This may sound crazy - didn't I want the whole house clean? Well of course, BUT, if I could feel ok with the house if at least my kitchen was clean - then that helped!
Of course I keep up with the rest of the house, but at least I don't feel like I am loosing all control if at least my kitchen is clean!

Our old house the kitchen was not a room we walked through to come in the house - our new house we do. The kids and I come in through the garage in the kitchen door, so sometimes it's where everything is dropped.

But, I still try to keep my kitchen picked up and clean!
Everything has it's place, I don't sit down for the night unless if the dishes are done and the kitchen is swept.
Somehow... this makes the toys in the living room a bit more bareable ;)

And I found this adorable tin dish that I keep my kitchen scrubbies in for $5!
And I love to keep lemon fresh hand soap in my kitchen.

Just a few things that I enjoy... in a room I spend so much of my day in.
